The synopsis

Yusuf Khass Hajib was an 11th-century Central Asian Turkic poet, statesman, vizier, Maturidi theologian, and philosopher from Balasaghun, the capital of the Kara-Khanid Khanate. His birthdate is estimated to be around 1018 or 1019. He wrote the "Kutadgu Bilig" (Blessed Knowledge), which is considered a masterpiece of Muslim Turkic literature. He completed this work at the age of 54 and was awarded the title "Khāṣṣ Ḥājib". While some sources suggest he died in 1077 in Kashgar, there are no direct historical records to confirm the exact date and place of his death. His birthplace, Balasagun, is identified with the Burana archaeological site in modern-day Kyrgyzstan. His legacy is honored through monuments, street names, and academic institutions named after him, as well as his image on Kyrgyz currency.
