The synopsis
Kavindra Tirtha, born around 1333 and passing away circa 1398, was a prominent figure in the Dvaita Vedanta tradition. He held the esteemed position of the seventh peetadhipathi (pontiff) of the Shri Uttaradi Matha, a significant institution founded by Madhvacharya, from the year 1392 until his death in 1398. Before his ascension to the pontifical seat, he was known as Vishnudasacharya, and is credited with authoring the philosophical work 'Vadaratnavali'. This connection between Kavindra Tirtha and Vishnudasacharya is supported by scholarly consensus, although the exact timeline of Vishnudasacharya's life is subject to some debate among historians, with some placing him later in the 14th to mid-15th century.
