The synopsis
Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar (14 April 1891 – 6 December 1956) was an Indian jurist, economist, social reformer, and politician who served as the first Law and Justice minister of India. He was the chairman of the committee that drafted the Constitution of India. Ambedkar studied economics at Columbia University and the London School of Economics, receiving doctorates from both. He was a lawyer, professor, and writer. His political career involved campaigning for the rights of Dalits (formerly untouchables) and contributing to the establishment of India. He converted to Buddhism in 1956, inspiring a mass conversion movement among Dalits. In 1990, he was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor.
